General Information
This is the third largest city in America, Lima is as well the capital city of Peru with a population of almost 10 million inhabitants. Founded in 1535 as the “City of the Kings”, Lima has one-third of the country’s population.
- Pachacamac: This was the biggest Sanctuary in the central coast foro ver a 1000 years. Considered as one of the most important Quechua administration centers and sadly abandoned during the arrival of the Conquistadors. Discover this perfect urbanity planificaded city, built with not only rocks but all-size adobe bricks.
- Barranco Neighbourhood: Originally known as Lima’s favorite beaches, destroyed during war with Chile, Barranco was finally established as a District in the 1870s, nowadays known as the bohemian District of Lima. Enjoy a tour around its colorful streets as old as over a hundred years, beautiful squares, boulevards and cliffs.
- Costa Verde: This is the southern beach circuit of the city of Lima. Admire beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Ocean, sea sports and artisanal fisheries, as well as the nicest restaurants in town.
- San Martin Plaza: Considered one the most representative areas of Lima, located right in the heart of the historic center. A Plaza dedicated to Jose de San Martin, one of the Liberators. Admire the old part of town, with beautiful old and modern architecture contrasts.
